What you're looking at isn't an animation. It's the same software that runs an LMI house, running a simulated model home. Move the clock and the sun moves with it, placed for Big Sky on that date. The house reads the light the way a real one does, and the rooms come up when it actually gets dark; our installs always include light sensors so your house can account for terrain and weather too.
Make something go wrong. Flood the laundry. Cut the power. Let the mechanical room get cold. The house deals with it on its own, and the panel on the right tells you what it did and why.
